David Adkins
heart and hustle for albuquerque's westside
For more than two decades, David has called Albuquerque’s Westside home. It's where he raised his family, built a business, discovered his passion for service, and where he continues to stand up for the values that keep New Mexico strong.
A proud Air Force veteran, former firefighter, and former chaplain with the Albuquerque Police Department, he has spent his life on the front lines of service, supporting first responders, strengthening families, and answering the call when his community needed him most.
From 2015 to 2018, he was the State Representative for House District 29 in the New Mexico State Legislature, where he worked to protect taxpayers, strengthen public safety, and defend hardworking families, earning a reputation for steady, principled leadership.
He has also served elsewhere, through appointments to the Albuquerque Police Oversight Commission and the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Library Board, helping promote accountability and strong public institutions.
Married for 28 years and the proud father of two children, he brings to public life the perspective of a husband, father, pastor, and business owner who understands the real challenges facing New Mexico families. Now, he is running for State Representative to provide experienced, steady leadership in Santa Fe: leadership grounded in service, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the people of New Mexico.
